I have a Excel table that records stock transactions and includes two Date columns:
The Date Executed value can be blank for some rows (those which are Limit Orders and the order hasn't yet been executed)
I need a way have some of this data automatically mirrored in another worksheet in the same workbook, ideally using some kind of index match formula to do it.
The challenge s also needing to have the rows in the other worksheet ordered by the "Date Executed" column and for that to be the first column on that sheet.
Ultimately I need the second table so show like this based on above data:
I want to avoid using a Power Query to do this as I need to tag my own columns onto the second table and use regular formulas in them. Also, ideally need the sorting to happen as part of the formula rather than sort via a regular column sort (if that makes sense).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
- trx_source_TBL[Order Date]: records the date that the trade order was placed to buy or sell a particular stock
- trx_source_TBL[Date Executed]: records the date the order was executed
