Hi guys

probably a really simple one but for the life of me i cannot figure it out... i can count cells by color and sum by color.

So what i need to get right is to count all the cells in a range that are blank, but only the cells in the range that have a yellow background.

Appreciate any help.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Doing anything by colour would mean that you are using a UDF (probably more than 1). It is possible that you can do what you want with an an existing UDF, if you post the code for those that you already have then we will be able to advise which you should use.
