I have a log file converted to Excel regarding software - name of computer, version of software and last date connected are the fields I am primarily interested in, but there are other fields with interesting info (like who is the person that was logged in)
Over a 30 day period, a machine could connect with version 100, and then 29 days later connect with a new version, say 101.
What I typically do is a deduplication of computer name, but that doesn't necessarily leave me with the latest date.
How are deduplications handled? If I sort according to date, will it to the first one or the 2nd one?
Or is there another way of handling this?
