Hi,

I have data where I require the column header displaying next to some Max/Large value results

For example I am using the formula =MAX(R3:AS3) to bring back the max value in range R3:AS3 showing in cell AZ3 and in cell BA3 I would like the column header from where the max value was listed

Any suggestions or help appreciated

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Which row are the headers in?

Ok, how about
Excel Formula:
=index(r2:as2,match(az3,r3:as3,0))
