Does anyone know how to Enable Auto Filter option in Protected Sheet in excel?

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple

Have you tried selecting this option when you protect the sheet?

Yes and this will allow you to manually sort but i need to use the auto sort into ascending and descending order of the whole list which does not work?

This does not work either
It works for me, so there must be something different about how our worksheets are set up.

Perhaps you could share a small dummy sheet with XL2BB and explain just what you are trying to do in relation to that worksheet.
