Enabling "Connected Experiences"

I cannot enable "connected experiences" in Excel. I toggle the necessary privacy options (file/account/account privacy) but when I click ok nothing happens; only the cancel button works. An online repair of Office 365 made no difference.

I used the DoNotSpy11 app to (re)enable all the various "spying" options I had disabled (and the setting for connected experiences was not disabled anyway), and rebooted but to no avail. I couldn't find any policies I might have disabled via gpedit. I'll attach a list of the spying options that were previously disabled and which I enabled.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Windows 11 v22H2 (build 22622.290), Excel beta v2208, build 15601.20028.
