[FONT=&quot]Good morning,

Two colleagues at work recently started experiencing issues with their Microsoft Excel 2007. They are both running Windows XP (latest updates). For months they have been able to generate a table of data from our MS Access database by performing the following steps:

Open new blank Excel 2007 document > Click "Data" > Click "From Other Sources" button > Select "From Microsoft Query" option. Then MSQuery would open in a small box titled "Choose Data Source" on top of the blank excel sheet. They would then select MS Access Database and go through the steps with the wizard to customize what was being brought into Excel for them to print a new report.

However, recently (first on one and then later on the other), after they select "From Microsoft Query" in the steps listed above, the small MSQuery window titled "Choose Data Source" would minimize after a few seconds (even if you were in the process of clicking an option) to the taskbar and then you are completely unable to open it (by clicking or even right clicking to say maximize-nothing comes up when you right click) UNLESS you press CTRL--ALT--Delete, go to the task manager, select "Microsoft Query," and choose the "Switch To" option. That brings back the "Choose Data Source" window and you can then continue to select MS Access Database and go through the steps to create a new report.

The only thing on the net I have found resembling this issue is:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.excel.querydao/browse_thread/thread/91328cde7f43137e

I have uninstalled Microsoft Office 2007 completely on one of the machines and then re-installed it and applied each new Office update one at a time to see if it was one of the updates that caused it. However, the strange behavior persisted right after opening Excel from a fresh install of the Office Suite (with no new updates) and after all updates were applied.

Does anyone have any ideas or solutions to this? Thank-you for any assistance!
