Are there any particular chapters which wouldn't work for Excel 97? Can I still use it or is it necessary to upgrade? If so which version?

Do you know about any reference on the Web which list major differences for building Macros between Excel 97 and later versions?

Thanks a lot.

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
The XML chapter won't work with XL97
The rest would mostly work. MS mostly changed arguments between versions, the change from 97 to 2000 being the worst. The book was written on systems with 2000, 2002 and 2003.

You can still use the book with 97 and get a lot out of it. Especially the first section which covers basics useful in all versions. Once you get into the advanced stuff, then some code samples may not work - but by then, you should know how to use the builtin help, tips, etc and work out many problems yourself - or you can post them here.

I don't know of a comparison chart, but that doesn't mean it's not out there.
