excel real life examples

I always wanted to know how other users in different industries (Banks, Engineering firms, Government, Hospitals, Accounting firms etc etc) are using Excel. I mean what is important for those users, which topics or features they use the most. Let me give you an example, I know very well how to use Filter but someone showed me a real life example that they used filter to filter data and how the empty cells might cause an issue and how they filter that etc. It is like totally different from what you have learnt about filter. Another example, someone showed me how the spot empty cells and how they give values to these cell that = to the cell above. Another example, how to convert date and time after importing from databbase. These skills you do not learn them from books/courses/online tutorials and videos.. So if you do not practice real life example, is like you are not going anywhere. . Is there any website(s) that shows real life scenarios and how it is solved in excel?

so can i ask how you use excel such that you are not solving some real life problem or pursuing some purposeful outcome? every time i do more fiddle for 10 minutes and not save a sheet, i am doing something related to work or interests.
