When saving through VBA (or manually in fact), I continually face the phenomena of the save bar getting stuck showing the progress bar GUI. The saving process does continue in the background, so if the user gives excel enough time that the progress bar would've reached the end, the file is indeed saved, however the macro will not continue until someone presses the Cancel button. The behavior is more prevalent when saving to a geographically different database to the users own, but is also exacerbated by the size of the file (the bigger the file, the more likely it will happen). We observed this behavior since "upgrading" to office 16 (don't get me started), and as yet have not found any solution except to sit and continually click cancel at each save point. Partially defeating the point of automation in the first place. Sigh. Can anyone solve this holy grail of my organizational disruption? Thanks in advance.
