File Recovery Issues for Excel 2003

Hello,
Does anyone know what could be causing excel documents to prompt for file recovery each time the user tries to save. This has only happened with 2003 or earlier versions of Office. Could this be an software issue or memory issue?

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
