Hello folks,
I know that one of the solutions for this is to use Power Pivot and Parameters but my column for filtering consists of alphanumerical characters so this option is not available and it is too slow.
Therefore, I have created connection to teradata with SQL code and in WHERE clause I have some conditions.
Now, my question is: is it possible to build/create with Form Controls/ActiveX Controls something like a drop down list where on selected item it would import new set of data from teradata.

Picture below.

Thank you in advance.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
hello

teradata is unknown to me. regardless, Excel does provide parameterised queries. doesn't need any programming. just set it up to auto-refresh on change of the input cell - no code, no formulas.

google might be best. here is an old example, Parameters in Excel external data queries – Daily Dose of Excel

should work on all Excel since ~1995. there will be different ways to get into this in newer Excel versions - i set up via ALT-D-D-N & follow the wizard. Editing the SQL by changing to a ? also gets it done
