I am trying to highlight (cell format) a series of cells per row after the active month (Column "U1") that has a value (numerical or text). The highlight color will vary upon the drop-down selection in (Column "E").

The caveat is that I need every month previous to the active month will be changed to a grey-white gradient background.

Here is a sheet Example to help you follow what I am talking about.

Thanks,
Scott

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Is it possible to do what I am trying to accomplish or is it a pipe dream?

When I try to use the Conditional formatting formula, the whole row highlights instead of just the cell that is equal and greater than this month.

=AND($E$8="New",$Z$8=$U$2,INDEX(G8:R8,COUNTA(G8:R8)))

I was trying to have 2 conditions be true, then use index and count to find the last value in the row and highlight only that cell, but I need it to highlight all cells after this month. The past months I think I have those cells resolved.
