Good morning, I am working on a pay spreadsheet for myself. I work 24 hour shifts with 2 different pay rates. My goal is to have both of my columns equal 24 hours each day, but put my hours in one of the cells and the other automatically adjust the daily hours. Currently I have my on-call block as -24 and formatted so the numbers are white when negative and my work block as 0, but I'm not sure how to fix it so my on-call block shows as a positive number when I add any number into my work column. Additionally, I had it set up to add in my pay on the bottom of my spreadsheet, is there any way to only add the positive numbers and ignore the negative?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Welcome to the Board!

Your situation and issue are hard to visualize without seeing what your data looks like and what you want your expected results to look like. It would be of great benefit if you could show us a small sample of your data and expected results.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
