Hi guys,

I am using the code below to make sure when the workbook opens, the calculations shifts automatically to Manual. Yet it remains on Automatic? Could this be because other workbooks are open?

VBA Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Application.Calculation = xlManual
    Application.CalculateBeforeSave = False
End Sub

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Should be
Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual

Interestingly it still didnt work.....

I have the coding in Module 2 - could that be an issue?
The code should be placed under ThisWorkbook, not normal Module. Double-click ThisWorkbook in the Editor and put the code in that
