Hi All,

I need help creating a formula to highlight 3 or more consecutive duplicate cells.
In the belwo example, row 6 should read false just like that in row 7. Rows 4, 8 and 10 are correct.

This is my formula so far
=COUNTIF(C6:I6;$J$1)>=3+AND(C6:I6;C6<>D6;D6<>E6;E6<>F6;F6<>G6;G6<>H6;H6<>I6)

Can you please help make the formula correct?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Something like
Excel Formula:
=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF(A1:E1="x",COLUMN(A1:E1)),IF(A1:E1<>"x",COLUMN(A1:E1)))=3,1))
Adapt ranges as required

In J4 copied down.

=AND(SUM(1*(FREQUENCY(IF($C4:$I4="x",COLUMN($C4:$I4),""),IF($C4:$I4<>"x",COLUMN($C4:$I4),""))>0))=1,COUNTIF($C4:$I4,"x")>1)
