How do I check to make sure that Excel 2003 uses the maximum CPU/Memory resources that my computer has ? is there a setting somewhere that I can check or change ?

Thanks

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I'm curious why you want to do that.....any particular reason?

You can certainly look at memory resources and create multiple threads with hyper threading or multi-processor computers, but I'm not sure why you would want to over-ride the automated management of this.

for learning purposes, I have a 4 core cpu and only 1 is running, big waste of resources, not sure why we have XP running that can't take advantage of it.

Seems like Linux just screams and Windows hops along on one leg.

IMO if you have a grunty routine in Excel and it isn't using all of the available resources then the CPU and or the RAM isn't the constraint. There is little point in increasing capacity / throughput at a point in the process that is not the bottleneck. But if you want to experiment with multi-threading in VBA then check out this link:
