How can I get high skills in excel really fast?

The problem is that my job requires me to self-learn complicated excel things, and I have no ideas how to start. I learned basic functions in these courses. So can you recommend an advanced guide that I can read or something like that? I need to end up knowing how to implement matrices and randomness into excel

My approach is to look at the specific problem I'm being asked to solve and then look up a solution.

In this way, one puzzle at a time, I've collected a good working knowledge of Excel and many other applications.

i agree, in fact I have learnt a lot here , trying to answer questions and then reviewing what other members have answered

I orginally learnt on a couple of courses in the late 80's90's with lotus 123 & early versions of excel - then a lot of books , QUE type reference books, and now a lot of forums and websites
BUT the best way i have learnt is having a problem and then solving it
i dont really get on with youtube excel examples - dont know why as i use excel for a lot of other things - like DIY
