I am a novice at VBA, so need a little help

Lets say I have a "K" in cell A1
Lets say i have the active cell as c1. I want the macro to put a "K" into cell C1. Lets say the active cell next time is F1, I want the macro to then put a "K" into F1.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Do you mean something like this?

VBA Code:
ActiveCell.Value = ActiveSheet.Range("A1").Value

Now if i want to build on this. How do i incorprate a list? Lets say that now "A1" is a list of 7 items. Instead of picking the "K", I want to pick from the list of 7 items and paste into activecell.
