iferror with vlookup returning 0

Hi,

I'm trying to get a formula to return either a Y or N, and right now it's working ok, but just returning the cell value it's looking at;

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(P3,$E$3:$G$806,2,TRUE),"")

Any advice?

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(P3,$E$3:$G$806,2,TRUE)),"N","Y")

What version of Excel are you using?

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

By the way, do you really want "TRUE", that is an approximate match, it is unlikely to ever give you a "N".
