Hi,

I have the following formula:

=SUMIF(INDIRECT$D9&"!$G210:G300"),"Months",INDIRECT(D$9&"!F210:F300")))

The tab names are a mixture of letters and numbers e.g. "05.1.1 Stage 3 (2)"

Column D contains the Sheet Name - the formula only seems to work when I change it to a text value. I have tried a ' at the front of the cell value in Column D to no avail.

Any ideas on what the blocker might be?

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
How about
Excel Formula:
=SUMIF(INDIRECT("'"&$D9&"'!$G210:G300"),"Months",INDIRECT("'"&D$9&"'!F210:F300"))

Solution
You were missing an opening bracket for the 1st indirect & you didn't have the ' before & after the cell reference for the sheet name.
