I currently have my program selecting the other worksheet to merge the cells and I have Screen Updating turned off but I hope there is a better way.

Code:
     Application.ScreenUpdating = False ' Disable the screen updating
     ALWs.Select ' Select the Available worksheet
     Range(Cells(1, SCP), Cells(1, ALWc - 1)) _
                                .MergeCells = True ' Merge the headers for the current position.
     RWs.Select ' Return to the main Resource worksheet
     Application.ScreenUpdating = True      '                  Re-enable the screen updating

Is there another way?

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Thank you Healey, I know the exact worksheet, row and column that I I need to merge the cells but I would like to do something like this:

Code:
ws.Range(Cells(1, SCP), Cells(1, ALWc - 1)).MergeCells = True ' Merge the headers for the current position.

The problem is that Excel does not allow this so I am looking for another way so I can speed up the program and reduce the risk of screen flicker. Does the page have to be active to merge cells?
