Our MIS system allows me to embed Live Links into Excel for reporting and these are updated when the data is refreshed, i.e. daily attendance for pupils in MIS then updates spreadsheet,

I have a word document I then use for reporting and ideally want a link to the table in excel that then refreshes the word document?

Is this doable?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Highlight the range in Excel
Click Copy or CTRL+C
Go to the Word document where you want the table to appear
In the Ribbon menu click Paste, selecte Paste Special
Select "Formatted Text" and check "Paste as link"
You now have a table in Word that is linked to the Excel data. The data will refresh automatically when the Word file is opened. To force a refresh, select the table and click F9.

You also can use the option of pasting as a picture or Microsoft Excel object, depending on your needs.
