I have a worksheet that lists qualifying teams (always 2 people) and I need to schedule them into different squads (dates and times). Any individual can qualify with up to four people, so there needs to be a minimum of 7 squads. In addition, each squad has a maximum number of qualifying teams that can be contained within it. Each individual team member can only participate once on any given squad. (If person A qualified with person B and person C, then person A would participate with person B on one squad and person C on a different squad).

The participants are listed in adjoining columns (first team member in A1 and second team member in B1, for example) and I'd like for the output to be on a sheet separated by squads and then participating teams in the same format (side-by-side in cells).

I've attached photos showing a small data sample and the desired output for visual reference.

For this small sample size, let's assume a maximum of five teams per squad.

I hope this information and sample are understandable, but I will respond to questions as required.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
