I have not encountered this before. I am inserting a formula to a merged cell, G1:H1 and the results of the formula are appearing duplicated.

The result i was expecting is:

For some reason, the answer is being placed in both cells that are supposed to be merged. Weird.

Formula is
Code:
=INDEX([Atlas.xlsx]Sheet1!$D$4:$D$104,COUNTA($A$1:F$1))

This post follows on from my earlier enquiry about getting a list of addresses into labels at transpose table of data into individual parcel labels

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.

This being said, why not enter the formula in G1 and "Center across selection" formatting instead of merged cells ( which ar nothing but trouble)
Thanks arthurbr. that's what i did. just wanted to know if anyone had seen anything like that before? i've been using excel a long time and its the first time i have encountered this particular issue. and people say spreadsheets are boring! what do they know!?
