Hi all,
I am new on this site and I really hope someone could help me.
I developed an excel sheet for my daughter to manage bookings.
i used excel 2010 (English) and used the monthview control 6.0 SP6 and this perfectly works.

the sheet was copied on my daughter's Pc Windows 8, office 365 in french.
As monthview control was not installed , I copied it and via the run command, did 'regsvr32 c:\Windows\syswow64\mscomct2.ocx' (as administrator).
then i got the error 'the module c:...\mscomct2.ocx was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8002801c'

can someone help me ?

thanks a lot to all of you

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I have installed my monthview control just the other day and i made it just like you with a little diference...
I don't konw f you did it or not, but before a run my cmd as administrator to register msccomct2 i have copyed the file i downloaded from web and pasted to my c:\windows\syswow64 folder before....Don't konw if you did that...

Hi Caribeiro77,
Yes I did that.
I am a bit surprised because I followed what is explained on a lot of forums.
Another idea ?

If you did all that i don't know what is causing that error message.
Try to uninstall and repeat the process..............
Just remember something wright now...Are you running a 32 or a 64 bits office?
I read somewhere that this file only run's on a 32bits office.....You can be operating a 64bit sistem but office must be the 32bits....

Sorry Juraph, forget that unisntall line..
Just check if your version of Office is 32 or 64bits...
Do you know how to quickly do that?

Inside excel go to:

File------> Account----->About Excel

Juraph i'm really sorry but I don't know what is causing all that problem.
Try to google it as "error code 0x8002801c" and see if someone as or had the same problem

Caribeiro77,
Don't be worried anymore: this was my fault.
I thought I ran the Dos command as admin but it was not the case.
Now it is ok.
Sorry for this inconvenience and thanks again for your help.
