Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I am having trouble with an excel calculator that I am putting together in that the results of multiplication are incorrect. I am trying to multiple a fixed value ("Qty") in a field by a value in another field that is formula derived ("Inv. Each" & "Sell Price Ea."). Below circled in red you can see where the columns of incorrect results. Incorrect value in column F cells are the result of multiplying column B cells (fixed) and column E cells (formula derived). Incorrect values in column M cells are the result of column B cells and column L cells.

F6 = $14,032.67 (1210 x $11.60) but should be $14,036.00
M6 = $12,778.81 (1210 x $10.56) but should be $12,777.60
and so on down each cell of the F & M columns...

Any help in sorting out my formula error would be greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
They are ever so slightly off, which leads me to believe that it might be a rounding related situation. Have you checked to see if either your Qty or Inv. Each values have more decimal places than what is visible/displayed?

Initially, I thought the same but both columns F and M are set to two decimal places and formatted as currency. Column B is set to zero decimal places and formatted a number.

Thank you!

So, that is just formatting, you can still have more than the 2 decimal places that aren't displayed.

Hmmm... How would I determine if that is what is occurring or more importantly, how do I correct it?

Thank You,
