Hi all,

As title suggests- I have a workbook that is used mainly by English speaking UK users however is accessed by one employee in Latvia.

The pivot tables containing dates formatted as mmm-yy or variations thereof are now all displaying in latvian rather than English.

Are there any ways to rectify this?

I've tried changing the language in excel, refreshing (which normally works) and reopening the workbook to no avail.

Thanks in advance everyone

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hummm... is it a problem that a Lithuanian user show the dates in his language?

to be honest, it doesn't bother me as they're easy to work out what they are- it just doesn't look very good when the graphs etc are put into presentations and reports.

A date is a date; May will be shown as May in English, or Mag in Italian, or probably Geg in Lithuanian

I think you can format dates to be shown in a specific language, thus ignoring local setting.
For example try formatting the dates using the format [$-en-uk]dd mmm yyyy;@ then they should show in English even in Lithuania
You then need to set the options of the pivot table, tab Layout and format, for "Keep the formats on updating"

Try...
