Hi all

This has been irking me for a while and many web searches later still cant seem to find an answer.

Would anyone know why when sometimes creating a pivot table I get lines like the below in the first column and other times I have it with out all consistent

So below I have lines in the first column which I would like to get rid of. I have looked at formatting options and sometimes they just seem to appear (I would prefer it if the lines were not there in the first column) as in the second table. Both were created on Excel 365 which is the version I am using (work).

It seems to be pot luck when I get them but am sure that can't be the reason...
