I want to be able to create a slideshow where on each slide I have an Action Button that runs a macro to send a shape to the back or bring it to the front.
The macro runs fine when I am on the first slide of my presentation but fails on any subsequent slide with a runtime error (80048240) Shape (unknown member): Invalid request. To select a shape its view must be active.
How do I make the view active for all slides after the first while I am in presentation mode?

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
OK, I think I have it working.
ActivePresentation.Slides(ActivePresentation.SlideShowWindow.View.Slide.SlideIndex).Shapes("Shape1").ZOrder msoSendToBack
seems to do the trick
