Hello,

I need to find a formula that helps me get the ratio percentage for the data below [field hrs. to admin hrs.]. Does such thing as ratio percentage exist? I have tried the following formulas, but still remain unsatisfied with the results. I have MS Excel 2010.

=B2/GCD(B2,C2) & " : " &C2/GCD(C2,B2) - To calculate the ratio, but the digits were endless.
=LEFT(TEXT(ROUND(B2/C2,5),"###/###"),SEARCH("/",TEXT(ROUND(B2/C2,5),"###/###"))-1)&":"&MID(TEXT(ROUND(B2/C2,5),"###/###"),SEARCH("/",TEXT(ROUND(B2/C2,5),"###/###"))+1,3) - to round off the ratio
=SUBSTITUTE(TEXT(C2/B2,"######/######"),"/",":") - to shorten the ratio number appearance

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi Patchesbee,
If you're looking to get a cell showing something like 32% : 68% you can use
Excel Formula:
=TEXT(F1/SUM($F$1:$F$2),"##%")&" : "&TEXT(F2/SUM($F$1:$F$2),"##%")
Would be best to specify what you want to see as an output.
