Remove first few characters of another cell

I'm wanting to paste a url in one cell (e.g. https://www.siteurl.com) and have it appear in another cell as just www.siteurl.com (without the https://). What formula can I use for this?

One easy way is to simply use the SUBSTITITE function, i.e.

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"https://","")

If you have Excel 365:
=TEXTAFTER(A1,"//")

which has the benefit that it would take care of http:// as well
