replacing empty cells with another value using PowerQuery

Hi
I have table like the one below, have some empty cells. I want to fill these cells with word "Absent"
I used Power Query and then clicked on "Replace value" and then entered replace "Null" with "Absent"
but power query did not accept "Absent", it asked me to enter numberic value.

I had to change the format of the column to Text and then replaced "Null" with "Absent"! but I remeber
very well I did not have to change the format of the column to text and then replace Null with Absent but
I forgot how I did that. Any idea please. Thank you.
