Hello,

I am working on a project where I have 4000 employees who I need to issue gift certificates . Their names and unique identifying numbers need to be printed on them so they remain non transferable . I have a master list but for printing purposes each persons needs to be entered in excel based on the number of certificates we need to print . Each department is entitled to a different amount . Example 1st line : John Smith , 6 certificates , and ticket number 1001. This person will need to be repeated 6 times with the ticket number changing rande 1001,1002,1003etc in excel . This can be tedious to do for 4000 people . Does anyone know how I can use special coding to complete this data merge

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
you really should be using a database. Microsoft Access is perfect for this.
it can use your Excel sheets to do the merging.
