Hello All,

I am trying to get excel to count and sum multiple criteria in a specific cell when cell has multiple criteria (ALT + ENTER) inside the same cell. I am able to make it count if I have each value in separate columns/cells, but it will not count if I have name 1, name 2, name 3, etc. all in the same cell. Thank you.

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
I am not able to download that on my work computer, but see below for a quick example of what it is. Column "Name 1" I can get to sum correctly, however column "Name 2" will not sum correctly. Basically, I want the formula to kick back a count of 2 for each name, but its coming back with zero currently if I count using Name 2 column. Attaching the formula below that has worked for what I was doing with cell only containing 1 value, not multiple lines of values. I hope this clarifies, if it doesn't, I will download when I get home on my PC and get it uploaded similar to the below.

=countif(A2:A3,"Mr James") --- this works to give me a result of 1
=countif(B2:B3,"Mr James") --- this does not work but should shed some light on what im trying to do, which is get it to count 2.
