Mr. Excel Forum Members, The following works but I would rather use something that tests to determine if the named range exists, and then delete it only when it does. I prefer to minimize the use of "On Error Resume Next". What is the syntax to test for the existence of the named range "AllRanges"?

VBA Code:
On Error Resume Next
ActiveWorkbook.Names("AllRanges").Delete

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
If you don't want to use On Error Resume Next, you can loop through all the names in the workbook and test the name of each one.

Solution
Lots of named ranges. On Error Resume Next sounds better than I thought. Thank you for the reply.
