I have report with 8000+ rows.
Cell K2 has a date in the format as, 201608.
How do I change this into date format? Aug-2016 ?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
One way
Excel Formula:
=DATE(LEFT(K2,4),RIGHT(K2,2),1)
then change cell format to "mmm-yyyy"
