time interval within 12hrs

Hi All, how can i calculate below time interval which is less than 12hrs from 2 cells, is it possible to use in conditional formatting?
11:30 - 22:0008:00 - 17:30wrong
10:00 - 19:3011:30 - 21:00correct
thanks so much
 

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
