Business Management homework is crushing me. I need to derive a price with two variables that impact the price field. Excel is not happy with my attempts. The 2nd variable being a percentage of the whole is my true ticking point. I have no idea how you get around this circular reference. Example:

Invoice = X
Parts = 200 x 2.25
Labor 1 = 10% of X
Labor 2 = 10 x hr
"Costs fee" = 50 x hours
Hours = 4
Profit 20%

I very much tried to get the "Mini-sheet" uploaded to the site, but couldn't get the file type to work. Propabaly a school IT setting. I did add a picture of what I'm trying to do for clarification.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
You can't upload files here but you can post a link to a file share.
Impossible to see your calculations & formulas in a picture. My attempt to replicate your issue wasn't successful.

I'm not sure how to link (I'm so sorry!) but I've added a screen with my formulas shown. The formula you see below accounted for two workers at a known per hour costs. Might be a little sloppy to power users, but it gets the result I needed. Now I have to figure out how to make one of those workers a percentage of the invoice total, but my Invoice amount is also and unknown based on the % labor.

How do you solve for two variables in excel? I keep getting circular references...which makes a lot of since.

If you can't provide a link to a file share then see about using the XL2BB addin on posting toolbar. I have no idea where those numbers are located, so the likes of "B2" is of no help at all. Perhaps do the calculations in helper cells as I did then sum those in your Invoice cell?
