I am using the ADDRESS function to return the location of the smallest number in a column of data:

=ADDRESS(MATCH(MIN(K2:K4000),K2:K4000,0),COLUMN(K2)).
Returns $K$267

I now want to use the returned row number, 267, in a separate mathematical calculation. I tried adding the ROW() function to the above to get the 267 but that did not work.

How can I get the 267 as a number which I can use?

How about
Excel Formula:
=--textafter(a2,"$",-1)
Where A2 is the cell with your formula

You don't need address. Try this:

=ROW(INDEX(K2:K4000,MATCH(MIN(K2:K4000),K2:K4000,0)))
