vba check to see data already exists in a range in another sheet before copying

before copying from one sheet to another sheet, i need to check if the data being copied already exists in the sheet that the data is being copied into
 

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
This could be done with some conditionals (If ... Else ...) and a loop through the data range.

But for this I need some examples first. Could you provide some examples?
