Hi everybody, I am new to VBA and I am trying to implement a code that can retrieve some data from the last row of several closed workbooks (possibly without opening it) and copy such data in specific columns of the master file.
Now, to give you more context:
  • the path to the closed workbook is contained in a hyperlink, but each row in the master file contains a different link - the code should run for every single row (I assume I need to set the row with the link as a variable, while the column is fixed??). In some cases (not all), the link specifies a sheet inside the closed workbook: it is important that the code is able to read the sheet as well.
  • I would need the code to retrieve the data only from the last row of the closed workbooks (I upload these sources regularly)
  • the data should be copied into specific columns of the master file, but again, I need the code to perform the same operation for every single row. Basically, I have a source workbook for each row and, along the row, there's the series of values I have to extract.
I hope I have explained my problem clearly.
Thank you very much in advance for your help! :) Looking forward to your answers.
All the best!
