bbcode range add-in not working

i Have just enabled the BBCoderange add-in
I have forum tools menu item

i created a test sheet and click on copy range

then in the test forum posted some tests

I select the range I want to copy into the forum
click on copy

and it does not work

am i doing something wrong

here is what I get

Are you using Windows 8/10?
 
There's an occasional bug with those versions where any code that uses the DataObject for clipboard access just ends up with two strange characters instead of the actual text. (that's why my add-in uses API calls instead ;))

Are they like 2 squares? I get that occasionally when using Excel jeanie (Win 10). I haven't worked out yet whether something specific is triggering it or just random.
