Negative Logarithms

I posted this formula the other day but didn't get a response. Maybe that means that it can't be done. I'm wondering if Excel can do negative logarithms (base 10).

I have the following formula:

186 * dm-1.154 * ls-0.203 * (.652 if male)

The dm and ls are negative logarithms. So the equation is 186 times the negative log of 1.154 times the negative log of 2.03 times .652 if the person is male. If the person is female the .652 isn't multiplied.

Does anyone know how to do this? If not, I'll move on and try to solve this another way. Thank you.

Do you mean inverse logarithms (aka antilogarithms)?

If so all you need to do is put formula in such...
=10^(The number number you are performing the antilogarithm on)

log10 [of] 100 = 2 ....is equivalent to 10^2 = 100

What do you mean "negative log of"?

Do you mean 186*(-ln(1.154))*(-ln(2.03))*0.652?

Or, what are you expecting the" negative log of 1.154" to be?

Realize that the natural log of a negative number is undefined. (after all, what value of x could ever cause e^x to be negative?)

Otherwise, the logarithm of a negative number is undefined. Not only can't Excel do it, it can not be done at all.
