How can I skip a line within a cell. For example, normally one would press [ENTER] and skip a line
like this, but when [enter] is pressed in excel, the next cell down is activated. So how do I skip one line within a cell?

You can press Alt-Enter to drop a line within a cell. You can also use word wrap from the format menu (cell option).
