I am having trouble creating the formula for QB rating in Excel.
NFL Quarterback Rating Formula
(National Football League)
a = (((Comp/Att) * 100) -30) / 20
b = ((TDs/Att) * 100) / 5
c = (9.5 - ((Int/Att) * 100)) / 4
d = ((Yards/Att) - 3) / 4
a, b, c and d can not be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.
QB Rating = (a + b + c + d) / .06
I have most of this, but I don't know how to the "a, b, c and d can not be greater than 2.375 or less than zero" thing.
I have a, b, c and d in C2, D2, E2, F2 and G2. The numbers go to A2, A3, A4 and A5 and the overall rating goes to B6 (I do it like this because I want it to look clean and organized).
If anyone can tell me how to do this, I would be greatful for the help. Thanks in advance.
