Can anyone tell me how to take off that annoying timecode that counts the number of days since 1900 when you put a date in. For some reason, my system has decided to start doing this for no reason and I can't remember how to take it off

    Cheers

    Tools > Options > Calculation
gives you to option to check the 1904 date system box.

Hope this is what you meant.

Kind of yeah, it's just that we use data validation drop down lists for our users, and they have dates in them - e.g: Dec-01, Jan 02 .....

Changing the Calculation to the 1904 system changes the options in the drop down lists to Dec-05, Jan 06

I've got 300 separate spreadheets to update if this is the case
