Hi,

Great site. Wish I would've known about this site a long time ago. Working on an input file and rather then have users choose from a drop down menu of choices I was wondering if there's a way (function) that only accept an input if it exists in an accompanying list or table.

For instance, users are asked to input a resort. If their answer does not exist in the list their answer would show up as an error.

I get the feeling this would probably work in Access and not Excel, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi - welcome to the board!

Check out the data validation function, which you can use to constrain valid entries. Post back if it's not clear...
