Hi, in my job scaners are used to input data into spreadsheets, usually it display symbols characters like (@< #< $< %< &) how can I avoid this from happen, Help me! thank you.

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Hi, the OCR software will just read whatever is given to it. If the OCR is making mistakes seeing these symbols when they are other characters then you may have problems interpreting what they should be. If it's simply that these symbols are on the input and you don't want them then you would not be able to clean up during the scan but you can easily clean them up after-wards by multiple Edit|Replace operation to replace the symbol with nothing.

You can automate this by recording a macro yourself, or if you want something more fancy you would need to be more specific.

cheers,
Graham

Thank you Graham, could I use data validation to restrict this kind of data?
