Shading cells

Is it possible to shade cells, rows, or columns so that the color fades from solid to white?

Hi Chartman,

Unfortunately, no. Gradient fills only apply to Shape objects, not cells.

You can if you use the bacground Option
Fornmat > Sheet > background.

You will have to play around with Shapes
sizes and colour gradients to get the right result.....

eg Select a shape > rectangle
colour it with suitable graient using
your 2 colours.
Copy and paste into a Graphics program
save it then Load it in via above method.

Thanks. I'll try using the background method. It's a shame, though, that Excel doesn't have such a feature built-in.
